If you frequently share photos with PC users, work colleagues, or online portal uploads, you can instruct iOS to save photos directly as JPEGs.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open the **Settings** app on your iPhone or iPad.

2. Scroll down and tap **Camera**.

3. At the top of the menu, tap **Formats**.

4. Change the selection from **High Efficiency** to **Most Compatible**.

What Changes?

From this point onward, all new photos taken with the Camera app will be saved as standard `.jpg` files. Note that high-end video modes (like 4K at 60 fps and 1080p at 240 fps) still require High Efficiency.
